Rosters have officially been released for the Maybelline Women’s Lacrosse League. The WLL will debut at the Championship Series, which runs from February 11-17 at The St James just outside Washington DC. The coaching staff for each team has not yet been announced but is expected to be released in the coming days.

Boston College legend Charlotte North leads the Boston Guard, two time Tewaaraton winner Izzy Scane leads the New York Charging, former Maryland Terrapin and NCAA Champion Alex Aust Holman leads the Maryland Charm and she is joined three time All American and Tewaaraton finalist Lizzie Colson. The California Palms are stacked with UNC talent including Ally Mastroianni, Sammy Jo Tracy, and Kayla Wood.

The rosters include a multitude of players with competition experience at the international level, including several who just won gold with Team USA at the first ever women’s box lacrosse world championships.

There are some clear connections to college programs on these initial rosters, making it easy for fans of NCAA teams to pick their favorite WLL squad.

The Boston Guard has five Boston College alumni including North, and four from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The New York Charging has multiple connections to their namesake state, with four Syracuse alums and Stony Brook all time great Kylie Ohlmiller. They also have the most Northwestern alums of any roster with five, led by Scane. There’s no shortage of high level talent in Maryland, and it’s all over the Charm. There are nine players from either Maryland or Loyola on the roster. The California Palms are loaded with talent from North Carolina, with eight Tar Heels on the roster. They also have a pair of USC alums in Kait Devir and Erin Bakes providing a connection to the home California market.
