The college lacrosse programs represented at the World Box Lacrosse Championships

Updated: Sep 24

World Box Lacrosse Championships are underway in Utica. We’ve already seen electric comebacks and some unbelievable performances at a team and individual level. The indoor game and the college game in the United States don’t have a lot of visible overlap since they are different formats, but make no mistake, there is no shortage of college talent on every team competing. DI, DII, and DIII are represented, as are several club programs at those schools and others. This list is confined to schools in North America. A total of 153 schools have club or varsity alumni appearing on the rosters competing in Utica. There are also a number of current high school players competing in this event, a feat in itself. The university with the most alums competing is Albany with 10. Syracuse is right behind them with nine, then Limestone with seven. Onondaga CC has more alumni participating (4) then 142 other schools.

This info is taken from what’s reported on the event team rosters, plus what I could find myself when the players/team didn’t report a school. Some players have their club team instead. If you know of players not listed who should be, please reach out and I’ll add them.

Here’s a nation by nation breakdown of the men’s rosters and their college players.
